Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is looking for a certified teacher in special sports with a focus on mogul for our national sports gymnasium (RIG) for the academic year 2025/2026.

The ski gymnasium in Åre has a strong tradition and started as early as 1972. Today, around 90 sports students are enrolled here, distributed across four different skiing disciplines – a diversity that contributes to an inspiring training and study environment. With us, you will be part of developing the elite skiers of the future within Swedish and international skiing.

The position is a permanent employment at 100%.

Your Future Responsibilities

As a teacher in special sports, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on students' training in alpine skiing, with a particular focus on mogul. The work is done in close collaboration with other special sports teachers and is part of the school's national sports gymnasium.

The position involves both daytime, evening, and weekend work in connection with training, competitions, and camps. You will work in a stimulating environment where students combine their studies in a national program with a focus on elite sports.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications in special sports. You have completed the Swedish Ski Association's training ladder, relevant university education, or equivalent. You have good knowledge of mogul skiing and clear competence in discipline-specific technique, training science, and testing methodology.

You are engaged, have a positive attitude, and easily collaborate with both students and colleagues. You thrive in the role of educator and have a good ability to motivate and develop young people.

Previous experience as a coach in mogul skiing and a background as an active skier are advantageous.
